Post Mortem: Art of the After Death

In autumn, when once vibrant leaves wither and fall, and winter’s icy breath begins to blow, it is natural for humans to become more aware of our own mortality. The autumn holidays of Samhain, Dia De Los Muertos, and Halloween all help us explore and embrace Death’s imposing presence in the Cycle of Life and open communication with the souls of those who have passed through “The Veil.” In keeping with the energy of the season, Artemesia Galerie presents a group exhibition of visual art that explores questions of the after-death, or in Latin: post mortem.
This group exhibition features the work of Diego Glazer, Destiny Bowman, Jeffrey Harrison, Sarah Larsen, Jesse Peper, Steven Morrell, Warren King, Colleen Tully, and Gail Potocki.
